Music video lyrics

I went to google and searched for the lyrics, this was the website where I printed the lyrics from, then I scrolled down the page and started to read the reviews, I was shocked to find out after printing out that the lyrics were wrong! So then I went into another website and had a look at the lyrics they had and I saw lots of mistakes! This means in the future have to make sure I check my sources.
Chase & Status ft. Plan  B – End Credits lyrics
When the blood dries in my veins
And my, heart feels no more pain
I know, I'll be on my way
To heaven's door

I know when I knock
I'll be hoping I don't drop
To a place where I will rise, like before
(2x)

I can feel, something happening
That I've never felt before
Hopeless dreaming will start
Dragging me away from heavens door
(2x)

When my mind stops thinking
And my eyes stop blinking
I hope...
Somebody's there

When my heart stops beating
And my lungs stop breathing
In air...
I hope somebody cares

When the blood dries in my veins
And my, heart feels no more pain
I know, I'll be on my way
To heaven's door

I know when I knock
I'll be hoping I don't drop
To a place where I will rise, like before
(2x)

I can feel, something happening
That I've never felt before
Hopeless dreaming will start
Dragging me away from heavens door

When my mind stops thinking
And my eyes stop blinking
I hope...
Somebody's there

When my heart stops beating
And my lungs stop breathing
In air...
I hope somebody cares
When my mind stops thinking
And my eyes stop blinking
I know...
At the end

When the blood dries in my veins and my
Heart feels no more pain
I know, I'll be on my way,
To heavens door,

I know when I'm not,
I'll be hoping I don't drop,
To a place where I will rise, like before,

I know when I'm not,
I'll be hoping I don't drop,
To a place where I will rise, like before,

I can feel, something happening
that I've never felt before
Hopeless dreaming will start,
Dragging me away from heaven’s door

I can feel, something happening
that I've never felt before
Hopeless dreaming will start,
Dragging me away from heaven’s door

When my mind stops thinking,
My eyes stop blinking,
I hope Somebody’s there.

And my heart stops beating
and my lungs stop breathing
in air, I hope somebody cares,

When the blood dries in my veins and my
Heart feels no more pain
I know, I'll be on my way,
To heaven’s door,

I know when I'm not,
I'll be hoping I don't drop,
To a place where I will rise, like before,

I know when I'm not,
I'll be hoping I don't drop,
To a place where I will rise, like before,

I can feel, something happening
that I've never felt before
Hopeless dreams will start,
Dragging me away from heaven’s door

When my mind stops thinking,
My eyes stop blinking,
I hope Somebody’s there.

And my heart stops beating
and my lungs stop breathing
in air, I hope somebody cares,

When my mind stops thinking
My eyes stop blinking
I know
At the end.

Analysis of 3 music videos

21/06/11
As of now we have thought about who'll be the team leader and at whose house we will be filming and getting together to talk about this project.
At the moment we have thouht about hiphop, rnb and dubstep for our music genre.
we are going to look at some music videos for example: Chase and status: whiz kalifa: rusko, looking at these videos will also help us choose our music video genre that we will do as a group.

Analysis of 3 music videos
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lwD1vQ_Gw2A - Chase & Status - End Credits ft Plan B
1.       Slow motion in the first 45 seconds with background music. And the fact he’s playing 2 roles, he’s singing and also doing bits of the acting at the same time.
2.       At the start of the music video, I was put off because the first 45 seconds was really boring, it was slow motion of him falling down to the floor and the background music was dull to be fair. If they want to use slow motion in the video then it should be approximately 20 to 30 seconds and not 45 seconds because the dull music and slow motion puts people off.
3.        Third person narrative has been constructed.
4.       Theme of crime and death has been constructed.
5.       The choice of talent, mise en scene, props, costume, location and make-up was good. It matches the music video altogether. Location was in a number of places, in the streets, studio, underground when they’re kissing, outside someone’s house in a fight. Costumes were great; most of the guys were wearing casual clothes and a hoody.
6.       Technical features have been used in this music video. For example slow motion in the first 45 seconds of the music video. Another feature is when the man plays 2 moles in the music video. Another feature used is in 1.35 seconds of the clip where lighting is used…  In 2.05 seconds of the clip he is rising somehow… maybe linked to Christianity.
7.       It’s perfectly appropriate, the music and lyrics all fit in and they all altogether connect.
8.       The intended audience would be teenagers and people street boys and gangsters. The music is great, has a moral and meaning.
9.       I would expect to see this sort of music video in a music channel.

1.       I like the was how the music starts right at the start of the video… its very up fronting and get you into the music video.
2.       I think the background music is loud, it should be reduced a little, otherwise it’s a great music video.
3.       Third person narrative has been constructed.
4.       Theme of money, clubbing and dubstep (music) has been constructed.
5.       The choice of talent, mise en scene, props, costume, location and make-up was good.
6.       Technical features have been used in this music video. For example lighting has been used in 0.40 seconds of the music video. Fast cuts have been used in 2.24 seconds of the music video; it’s been used for about 5 seconds. In 0.14 seconds of the clip she wasn’t wearing a hoody…
7.       It’s perfectly appropriate, the music and lyrics all fit in and they all altogether connect.
8.       Target audience would be street boys, business men who throw parties and go clubbing and normal people who go clubbing and listen to music. This is because… she is getting the music round to people and sharing her music…
9.       I would expect to see this sort of music video in a music channel.

Chase and Status  - End Credits
Ft Plan B

Most Chase and Status songs have fetured someone else singing or rapping into the background of there music. There music is just beats so by introducing singers or rappers into there work expands the variety of people that will be listening to there music. If you was to buy there album you would realise that 90% of there music is with another artist and this also means that if you favourte artist is in one of there songs then it also makes the audiance want to listen.
The video is based on a film called
'Harry Brown'
Harry Brown is a 2009 British action drama film directed by Daniel Barber and starring Michael Caine, Emily Mortimer, Jack O'Connell, and Liam Cunningham. The film also features actor and artist Ben Drew (Plan B) who, with Chase & Status, is also responsible for the film's theme music track "End Credits." Harry Brown had its World Premiere as a "Special Presentation" at the 2009 Toronto International Film Festival and was released theatrically in the United Kingdom by Lionsgate on 11 November 2009; the film was released in the United States by Samuel Goldwyn Films on 30 April 2010. The story follows Harry Brown, a widowed Royal Marine veteran, who had served in Northern Ireland, living on an Elephant and Castle housing estate that is rapidly descending into youth crime. Harry fights fire with fire after a friend is murdered.

Video Analysis

I enjoyed that the video had its own technique for a music video because it is a film based music video, i havent watched the film that the music video is about but i have been told the film is called Harry Brown. The video is set at the film scenes but have the main singer in the background myming the words. it has a very deep meaning to it because it is a slow song and meanful song but when the drum and base kick in it has a fast meaning and the camera movement goes with the music beats.

In my opinion it could of proevn it-self abit more by explaining what film it is about because i hadnt seen the film and i didnt realise it was based on a film. i thought that the music video it-self was a film video but i was proven wong. the video has its qualities and also it weaknesses but overall i wouldnt change alot.

Wiz Khalifa – Roll Up – http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=UhQz-0QVmQ0
I enjoyed the use of special effects such as various blurs and disorientations like the 360 shot on a tilt tat has been used. I also liked how normally when there is a close up shot being used it is in slow motion for emphasis of emotion.
One thing that could have been improved is the prevention of lens flare as there is a lot of sunlight in the video.  On the other hand this creates an overwhelmingly sunny effect to go along with the whole summer theme.
There has been a 3rd person narrative constructed.
The main theme that runs through the music video is a ghetto romance which is shown with the use of costumes on all the characters.
The choice of talent, being Wiz Khalifa, in my opinion was a very good choice as he is a well known artist and his music videos gain views quickly which increases the size of the audience. The location looks very exotic which goes with the summer love theme. More of a street theme is set rather than a standard romance. This is done through the uses of graffiti, costumes such as sports makes and tattoos.
